P.A.H.R. - FEBRUARY - NEW ONLINE IEP

New Online IEP

In response to many parent and school requests, the Maryland State Department of Education has developed a uniform Maryland State IEP. The idea behind this was to create a more consistent approach to IEP development in all counties across Maryland. The web based IEP allows for efficient coordination of student information, resulting in better services to students and families. Although the IEP's are online, access is limited to staff only. Parent "read only" access may be available at a later date as the online IEP development evolves. Right now, families can expect to receive a paper copy at the end of the IEP meeting. A paper copy will also be placed in the student's file. A blank version of the state IEP is available online at http://www.marylandpublicschools.org/MSDE/divisions/earlyinterv/Special_Ed_Info  Scroll down the page and click on Statewide IEP.
